                             RESOLUTION NO.   20028 
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF
                   TENNESSEE, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
                   RELATIVE TO FUNDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
                   ASHLAND TERRACE FROM NORCROSS ROAD TO THE
                   CHATTANOOGA CITY LIMITS, WITH THE CITY OF
                   CHATTANOOGA'S PORTION OF THE COST TO BE TWO
                   HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED
                   AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($227,200.00).
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to execute a Contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of
       Transportation, relative to funding for the improvement of 
Ashland
       Terrace from Norcross Road to the Chattanooga City limits, State
       Project Nos. STP-M-9206(36), 33958-1530-54 and STP-M-9202(37),
       33958-3531-54, with the City of Chattanooga's portion of the 
total
       cost of $1,136,000.00 to be $227,200.00.
